I attended a LinkedIn profile workshop with Paula a few weeks ago. Her approach and demeanor were warm and friendly while retaining a sense of professional expertise. Particularly valuable for me was a discussion we had about my very unique first name. This also directly related to searches and how employers may or may not come across me based on my name. I have experienced discrimination in the job market directly related to my name and it was a pleasure to discuss the various ways I could include my name in my profile while still ensuring it didn’t trip up potential employers.
