Honoring Women in Sports & Black History Month, and Free Virtual Series on Growing Confidence – February 2018

Brand Career Management Monthly Tip Sheet

Hello Everyone,The next few months you’ll notice that each MTS issue will focus on women, and incorporate topics related to official holidays. In February, we have National Girls and Women in Sports Day and Black History Month, so the articles in this issue will share achievements of women trailblazers and the stories of African American women whose success we can admire and learn from, in the sports industry, STEM and other professions. On a related side note, I recently watched Battle of the Sexes and I highly recommend it.

March 8th is International Women’s Day. To honor this occasion, I will be co-hosting a series of three career conversations designed to empower professional women. For more information, open the attached flyer, go to paulabrand.com, or look for the Upcoming Events section toward the end of this message. Also in March, the US celebrates Women’s History Month.

In April, expect resources and articles related to salary negotiation and pay equity, as April 10, 2018 is Equal Pay Day in the US. Last but not least, May will bring us Mother’s Day in many countries, so we’ll take a look at women and careers in that issue.

Warmest regards,
Paula
